FAQ
Here are a few questions that we are asked often, if you have a question that is not on this list, please use our "Contact Us" page to send an email directly to us!

A: Why not?! We think the most obvious answer would be hope for a cure for cancer. However, how we arrived at being so motivated to make a difference and not waiting for others to do all the work, is a far more complex answer. As I stated on the homepage, It appears that we all have been effected by cancer, be it someone we know and love, our own compromised health, or both. Neither of us have had cancer, for that we are grateful, but we have watched people both survive and lose battles to cancer, and during their battles, there is a profound amount of courage to fight that never fails to absolutely amaze us; we are awed by the fortitude of these individuals in our lives. Personally knowing people enduring chemotherapy, and seeing the strength we  never knew they possessed in the face of adversity and extreme discomfort of such a disease, is something that made us willing to dedicate ourselves to making a difference. We do not have the intelligence to find a cure, nor do we have the financial means to write you all a check, but we do have our health, and with that we feel we can make a difference!

A: We will be giving 100% of the fundraised money to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

A: The funds raised will go to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center's general fund. The Hutchinson Center will direct gifts to the area of greatest need.

A: We will be posting a map shortly with details, but it cuts through Bremerton, WA, across to Elma, WA, and pretty much hugs the coast clear down to Santa Cruz, CA. We will be avoiding most busy streets.

A: There are many ways that you can help us and we appreciate your assistance. Please take a look at the "Ways to Donate" page and give us a call or email with any questions you may still have!

A: Sure haven't! We have been working towards 80 miles a day and will be more than ready for April 1st, 2010.

A: We will be carrying all of our gear on our backs, bikes, and perhaps a small bike trailer. Basically as little gear as possible, we think we will feel virtually every pound when climbing long hills!

A: We will be sleeping at National Parks along the way and other campgrounds available, we hope to spend a few nights with friends and supporters that live along the route we will be traveling.
